The Inversion Factor Creating a Flipped Instruction Learning Environment

Flipped Instruction is a pedagogical style that shifts typical whole class activities to an individual activity (such as homework) and creates a meaningful student centered classroom environment so that students can be supported by the teacher and other learners during the most difficult phases of instruction. It can involve doing notes and other whole group activities at home, while independent practice comes back into the classroom to be monitored more directly.
